Swags Geist: Fishers/McCordsville/Fortville

I was 12 when my mother allowed me to bring home a little terrier named Rascal if I agreed to take him to obedience classes.  I trained and titled that little terrier and he was the first of many.

Grooming seemed like a natural extension of training and it never really seemed like work.  I groomed while attending college and earned a Master’s degree in Psychology.  I always thought I’d get a ‘real’ job but I couldn’t leave the dogs behind.  I spent 20 years grooming in a variety of salons including pet stores, private salons and a veterinary clinic.

In 2021 I created Swags so I could do grooming my way.  There would be no cages for dogs to wait in, noisy distractions or groomers bumping into each other.  In a mobile salon I could get back to what I loved  – making your dog as happy, confident and stylish as possible!

Lorna Thomas

Swags Westfield: Westfield/Carmel/Noblesville/Cicero

Lorna Thomas has had a lifelong love for dogs. She spent her childhood helping her grandfather train and care for his hunting dogs, as well as raising and training her own dogs in obedience and tracking. She has trained K9s and is a breeder and trainer of Working Line German Shepherds that have served as K9s, service dogs and family protectors. She has apprenticed under Anne Roscoe, owner of Swags Mobile Grooming and is looking forward to providing the Swags Mobile Pet Spa experience to the Westfield area's pet community.
